Hello! 👋

I’m Thea, with over a decade of industry experience I have had the pleasure of collaborating with diverse studios and clients globally, including having worked full-time with the talented team at Buck in New York for over 4+ years.

My passion lies within creating bold, minimal, yet expressive illustrations and animations that explore themes of human connection, touch, and quiet moments. I enjoy blending soft surrealist human forms with delicate linework to craft pieces that feel both intimate and evocative.

Available for commissions and collaborations.

The New Yorker Festival

Studio Buck
Role
direction, concept, design & animation

Due to Covid, 2020 was the first time The New Yorker Festival took things fully viritual.

I had the pleasure of working closely with Mercy Lomelin to create a design system and anthem film to kick off this storied event, as well as a graphics package used during the livestreams.

With this being a very NYC-centric event, we had to consider in detail what makes New York the city the cultural hotspot that it is - including internal discussions of what makes a bagel a ‘proper nyc bagel’. (capers do go on salmon & cream cheese bagels!)

Our approach to a minimalist painterly style lended itself well with a formal presentation as well as blending wonderfully with a more playful and fluid side.
