In collaboration with the design team at youtube, I’ve had the pleasure of working on Yoodles&#38;nbsp;(think Google Doodles, but for youtube!)&#38;nbsp;One of these were dedicated to personal trainers who use youtube as a primary playform. For this iteration I wroked as an illustrator and designer.
The work produced was streamed and shared worldwide on youtube for 24hrs on the 1st May 2025.

Youtube Yoodle: Hairstylists

Hairstylists is a part of a bigger series, and for this yoodle I was brought on as an animator. From animatic stage to final product, I was responsible for all aspects of production.

Tomodomo is an Oslo based restaurant specialising in handmade Japanese noodles made from good quality local Scandinavian ingredients. The founders (who are also chefs and work closely in the kitchen) wanted our help with a name change and rebrand that focuses on direct, human touch, mirrors their artisanal craft and collaborative spirit.To stand out in Oslo’s increasingly competitive restaurant market, our goal was to attract an audience that values authenticity over convenience through a personality that feels sophisticated yet charmingly and accessible. Their name was changed to Tomodomo, which translates to ‘being together with friends’ - the perfect atmosphere for enjoying a bowl of handcrafted noodles.

	The identity we developed and it’s strength lies in the combination between elements; an organic logo resembling a broth stain, pairs with a classic typographic hierarchy for structure. 
Earthy colours inspired by East Asian ingredients highlight the food’s sensory appeal, whilst the bespoke illustrations lead a cohesive visual language where every distinct, edgy element harmonises.

By putting weight on creating a set of bespoke illustrations to convey the human touch and artisanal craft at the core of the brand, it does not just become a visual expression - each hand-drawn line emphasises the raw integrity and passion the chefs pour into every bowl of ramen, soba or udon.

Each year Buck creates holiday gifts for their coworkers and industry friends. In 2020 I collaborated closely with my colleague and good friend Yeojin Shin to contribute to this annual tradition.


This years concept was creating a series of custom animations and cutting them into unique wood-carved pieces. 2020 was a year filled with hardships for all of us, so the theme around this holiday gift became ‘Togetherness’.

		<description>The New Yorker FestivalStudio BuckRole direction, concept, design &#38;amp; animation


Due to Covid, 2020 was the first time The New Yorker Festival took things fully viritual.I had the pleasure of working closely with Mercy Lomelin to create a design system and anthem film to kick off this storied event, as well as a graphics package used during the livestreams.

 
With this being a very NYC-centric event, we had to consider in detail what makes New York the city the cultural hotspot that it is - including internal discussions of what makes a bagel a ‘proper nyc bagel’. (capers do go on salmon &#38;amp; cream cheese bagels!)Our approach to a minimalist painterly style lended itself well with a formal presentation as well as blending wonderfully with a more playful and fluid side.

Set in the fantasy Realm of Beebom, players flip tiles, revealing hidden paths and enemies alike on their journey to dethrone the King exploiting the land and it’s people.


Lets! Revolution! is a logic-based puzzle game featuring vibrant, playful art and hand-drawn animation and is
also Buck’s first official venture into the world of videogames.From sketching out ideas to helping shape the world and its characters whilst being responsible for leading a team of talented animators, I had the pleasure of touching all aspects of this project alongside Art Director Emily Suvanvej and Creative Director Michael Highland.
